Discussion is a serie of portraits of the employees of Castle de la Roche-Guyon in Val d’Oise in France. This castle is a scenic attraction, a workplace and living quarters. It represents a sort of micro-society which I portray with it’s live-in custodians. The location, the posture, the clothes worn and the means of representation (photography, video or voice recording) were chosen by the subjects of the portraits themselves. 22 portraits were exhibited on the walls of the castle. One of the portraits, a voice recording, was censored by the management of the castle, exposing the inner workings of this micro-society. This is the reason that they are all blurred out.
